Rhuddlan Pond Local Nature Reserve (Denbighshire)
The reserve is in the town of Rhuddlan on the site of the old railway station and line. It was created and is maintained by Denbighshire Countryside Service with the local community. This reserve has a variety of habitats including ponds with a decking and seating area overlooking them. There are interpretation boards in the reserve and three beautiful metal dragonfly sculptures have been installed in the main pond.
Car parking is free. Refreshments are available across the road from the reserve. There is access for wheelchairs and push chairs. The reserve is next to Station Road in the south western side of Rhuddlan. It would be easiest to approach the reserve on the A525 from the north, east and south and the A547 from the east, these roads meet at a roundabout, take the Station Road exit (this then turns into the High Street). The reserve entrance is on the right after about 100m, if you cross the River Clywd you have gone too far.
