In the spring and summer the reserve is a hive of insect activity. Many dragonflies and damselflies hunt and patrol the water’s edge, including Banded Demoiselle, Emerald and Small Red-eyed Damselfly, Emperor Dragonfly and Brown, Migrant and Southern Hawkers.
