Willington Wetlands
A Derbyshire Wildlife Trust site. This former sand and gravel quarry provides a haven for wildlife in the Trent Valley. The reserve is particularly important for its wetland habitats, from open water to reedbed and shingle and grass islands, attracting both rare and common bird species, otters, and numerous invertebrates, including dragonflies and damselflies
