Site information

Sculthorpe Moor prides itself on its accessibility, with boardwalks and hard path throughout. There are 7 hides spaced out around the reserve, overlooking a variety of habitats. We have a visitor center and gift shop. We have a program of events from; guided walks, talks and workshops and our education team work with schools on and off site. One of our onsite projects is our beaver enclosure. We have a family of 5 beavers onsite in an area including wetland, woodland and fen habitat. They are working to adapt their
environment which is creating new habitats for wildlife, including dragonflies and damselflies. Because our boardwalks run alongside ditches and bodies of water, dragonflies and damselflies are seen across the reserve, particularly down our ‘golden path’ and ‘oak fen’ drain. We see a variety of species including Norfolk Hawker and Ruddy Darter.
