Cors Goch National Nature Reserve (Anglesey)

North Wales Wildlife Trust

Cors Goch has calcareous fen and acidic heathland which supports rare plants.  It lies on the bed of a glacial lake.  17 species of dragonfly and 19 species of butterfly have been recorded here.  Scarce Blue-tailed Damselfly, Variable Damselfly and Hairy Dragonfly are noteworthy.

From Pentraeth, follow the A5025 for 1.5 miles, turn left to Llanbedrgoch.  1 mile beyond the village there is a lay-by on the left where you can park.  Take the track just south of the layby to the reserve.  There is a path running the length of the reserve with some boardwalk.
