Cors Caron National Nature Reserve

The site is an inland raised mire made up of 3 bogs, these are surrounded by reedbeds, streams and ponds.  The River Teifi runs in and around the site.  There have been 16 species of dragonfly recorded on the site, these include Keeled Skimmer, Four-spotted Chaser, Common Hawker and Black Darter; there are also stream loving species Golden-ringed Dragonfly, Beautiful and Banded Demoiselles.  Cors Caron NNR is designated as a SSSI, SAC and Ramsar site and is managed by NRW.
