Tailend Moss (West Lothian)

Tailend Moss is a lowland raised bog composed of deep peat that has accumulated over thousands of years. It is an important site for damselflies, dragonflies and peatland plants, such as bog asphodel, cranberry and sundews.

Take the M8 from Edinburgh until Jct 3a, at the roundabout go straight on (A779 to Livingston), after 200m there is a parking place on the left on a section of closed road by a metal barrier. Tailend Moss can be seen to the north.
