Morden Bog
This picturesque corner of Dorset is famous for its spectacular mosaic of open heathland and bogs which support some of England’s rarest wildlife.
Opening times, entry costs, facilities and directions
Much of the site is listed as Access Land under the CRoW Act and there are a number of surfaced tracks around the site that are maintained by Forestry England (FE) as a number of permissive routes; parking is available at the nearby FE Sika Trail Carpark.
Things to see
There are many pools, waterholes and areas of standing water across the bog which are excellent areas for watching the broad variety of Odonata on a warm and windless day, with many of these adjacent to the surfaced tracks.
