WT Bissoe Valley
Once a mine site, a restoration programme set up in 1986 has now made this reserve a fine example of creative conservation work. It has newly planted woodland, ponds and regenerating heathland. The scarce blue-tailed damselfly is found here, establishing new colonies and the grayling butterfly is one of the more distinctive butterflies here.
