Variable Damselfly ovipositing records

For anybody hoping to take part in the Variable Damselfly Photo Challenge, it is worth noting that historically, June is the peak month for records of this species ovipositing, with slightly more records in the second half of the month, than in the first half. However, over the last 10 years the peak for records seems to have moved earlier to late May/early June, although with ovipositing also continuing longer through the season.  It is worth noting that, of the over 14,000 records of Variable Damselfly in the NBN Atlas, only 405 (2.8%) are records of oviposition.

Don’t forget to record your observations, including the numbers ovipositing, as well as getting your photos.
