Vacancies: County Dragonfly Recorders. South-east Yorkshire and the Isle of Wight
13/11/2025
We are looking for experienced Dragonfly recorders to oversee recording efforts in the Isle of Wight and South-East Yorkshire. You do not need to be located currently in one of these vice counties but you will need a good understanding of their dragonfly communities and be IT competent. You will play a vital role in verifying incoming records so they can be added to the national recording scheme database. This database is an important tool, used in conservation, research and policy making, to ensure that our most at-risk species and our important wetlands receive the attention they deserve. As a County Dragonfly Recorder you’ll receive full support and training from BDS staff. Please come forward to have a no-obligation chat with our Records Officer, David Hepper: records@british-dragonflies.org.uk
