Membership News 2024

A Note from the Membership Office

As we look forward to the new dragonfly season, it is also the time of year for your membership renewal of the BDS.

BDS subscription fees have remained constant for over a decade. However, due to the increasing costs, adjustments are now necessary in order for us to continue championing dragonflies and to provide support for our conservation initiatives, including research, outreach, and educational projects. Please see the table below for our new rates from 1st April 2024.

If you pay by Standing order could you please amend the payment to the new amount prior to the renewal. If you have online banking then this change in payment can normally be carried out very straightforwardly online.

If you need to pay your membership for this coming year, there are 3 ways that you can proceed:

  1. Online. Visit our website and pay using a credit/debit card or PayPal. Just follow the link for membership renewal.
  2. By cheque. If you pay your membership annually by cheque please could you return the membership renewal form to me together with your membership fee (if you have not got a renewal form or cannot print one a covering letter will do).
  3. New! By Direct Debit. We’re really pleased to let you know that you can now pay monthly by Direct Debit. To set up a monthly payment, please visit the Membership renewal section of our website and select Direct Debit when renewing.

If you are having any trouble with your membership renewal, have a query or need to notify us of change of postal or email address, please get in touch with our Membership Officer by sending an email to:

Thank you for your continued support.
