We will look especially for Brilliant Emerald at the Forest Pool and visiting some new ponds looking for heathland species. Other mid-season species should be in evidence across these under-recorded sites.

In the afternoon we go to the Millpond, a former and hopefully current Black Darter site. This species is in decline across Southern England. We’ll be walking on good forest paths but a full view of the Millpond requires some pushing through vegetation on rough ground.
