    An opportunity to join the ranger and see beyond the permissive path at the edge of this extensive urban wildlife reserve. Still under development and restoration, the site supports a good diversity of birds and Red-veined Darter was photographed here in 2025.

    Boots or strong wellies for rough ground, lunch, close-focusing binoculars, drinking water.

    There are some made pathways but these are of poor quality so you need to be confident of your footing on uneven terrain. Leader: Linda Pryke, county dragonfly recorder for Surrey.

    10:30 inside the entrance to Beddington Park. We don't have a grip on the availability of parking nearby.
