Discover the dragonflies on the National Trust’s beautiful 1,500 hectare Attingham Park Estate.
Attingham Nature Recovery Project
The 10 year project will see the National Trust working with tenants to restore and enhance the landscape of Attingham to boost biodiversity. This will include the restoration and creation of freshwater wetlands for dragonflies and other aquatic wildlife.
Dragonfly Recording
The team at Attingham are keen to learn more about the dragonflies living within the estate, and breeding in its numerous ponds, and in the River Tern and River Severn within its boundaries.
As the nature recovery project gets underway, they also want to assess the impact of management activities on the estate’s dragonflies and identify any new species that might be attracted through the creation of new wetland features.
