A field meeting hoping to see Willow Emerald Damselfly egg-laying into overhanging tree branches along the banks of the lake. This activity tends to occur in the afternoon, sometimes quite late as observed here in 2019. Also the possibility of seeing Migrant Hawker and Hobby (catching dragonflies over the lake).
Lunch. Booking essential. There are toilet facilities near the car park. The going is flat and wheelchair-friendly. There may be large numbers of other people around.

11:00 am at the main car park (charges apply). Note the later start than usual, due to peak Willow Emerald activity being late.
There are several ways to report a Dragonfly sighting:
Report a casual sighting or visit to a site, for the benefit of others who might wish to know what’s flying at the moment. These sightings are not vetted and are not automatically treated as scientific records.
