LIMITED MEETING at this excellent bog habitat with an exceptionally rich flora and fauna. It supports many dragons and damsels, including Keeled Skimmer, Four-spotted Chaser and Small Red Damselfly. A colony of the Scarce Blue-tailed Damselfly was confirmed here in 2000 (including the orange immature forma aurantiaca) but now appears to be lost.
Other attractions include rare orchids and Przewalski horses.
Only two places remain (as at 4th July). UK nationals only. PRE-BOOKING ESSENTIAL by 8th July.
Anyone turning up on the day without a confirmed booking will be turned away by security. Escorted visit; we can't leave early.
There are several ways to report a Dragonfly sighting:
Report a casual sighting or visit to a site, for the benefit of others who might wish to know what’s flying at the moment. These sightings are not vetted and are not automatically treated as scientific records.
