This day will focus on the identification of both damselflies and dragonflies. The morning classroom workshop will introduce us to those diagnostic features used in identification and interactive exercises will enable us to recognise these on some individuals. Following lunch we head outside around the centre ponds and River Onny putting our new identification skills to the test.
Please bring wellies/walking books and waterproofs. If you have identification guides and hand lens bring those along too. Lunch can be purchased from the café or bring a packed lunch with you.

There are several ways to report a Dragonfly sighting:
Report a casual sighting or visit to a site, for the benefit of others who might wish to know what’s flying at the moment. These sightings are not vetted and are not automatically treated as scientific records.
