Look for late summer species including heathland specialists such as Small Red Damselfly, Keeled Skimmer & Black Darter.
Good boots (not wellies). Lunch (no nearby hostelry). The track to the car park is quite badly rutted and care should be taken. Walking is largely along gravel paths but there are some muddy areas around the ponds. Booking essential. Please notify the trip leader if you plan to attend or subsequently need to cancel.
These sites turned out last year to be more interesting than expected and we are visiting in force this year. They are adjacent to the new housing development on the former Transport Research Laboratories site.
