Field Guide to the larvae and exuviae of British Dragonflies.

A book by Steve Cham for the identification of larvae and exuvia of British Dragonflies and Damselflies. 2012.

A new approach to the identification of these important life stages without the need for keys. The book contains colour photographs of all the key distinguishing features of both Dragonflies and Damselflies. A superbly detailed identification guide published by the Society, this book combines for the first time the original Volume 1 on Dragonflies (2007) and Volume 2 on Damselflies (2009). Since the publication of these separate British Dragonfly Society (BDS) Field Guides, there has been increasing demand to combine them into a single book. In this volume, two new species, Dainty Damselfly Coenagrion scitulum and Southern Migrant Hawker Aeshna affinis, have been added.
