Dragonfly Hotspots are special places, carefully chosen because they:
Support a good variety of Dragonfly and Damselfly species
Are easy to access
Can provide excellent opportunities for local communities to get involved with Dragonfly conservation and events.
We first launched our Dragonfly Hotspot project in Scotland in 2014, and now have 10 thriving Hotspot sites across the country. We hope to replicate this success in England too thanks to funding from Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and the John Ellerman Foundation.
Launch events will be held at both Stover Country Park in Devon and Thursley NNR in Surrey in 2019, so keey an eye on our events page for more details! More dragonfly hotspots will be selected and added over the next three years so please check back here for updates.
